48 Hours in Johor Bahru, Malaysia

Day 1 : Afternoon  – Evening 

Spend your afternoon at the newly opened Skyscape, the latest amusement and theme park in Johor. Before you know it, it’s time for dinner!

With great dining options at Zenith Mall Lifestyle, you’ll enjoy one of the best dining experience here. Take your pick!

Day 1: Evening Onwards

Return after an eventful day to unwind at the Amari Johor Bahru’s Dip Bar, situated next to the pool and gaze upon the glittering city skyline while you enjoy creative cocktails and a la carte dishes.


Day 2: Morning – Afternoon

Spend your late morning strolling along Coronation Avenue, filled with mural-covered walls, Islamic, Chinese, Indian Colonial-style buildings, and trendy cafes, located just a 10-minute walk away from Amari Johor Bahru. If you’re into street photography, exploring historical attractions or are a huge foodie, you’ll absolutely fall in love.

Now, head to Hiap Joo Bakery for the best banana cake and coconut buns baked in a traditional charcoal oven fired by wood! Probably the oldest bakery in Johor, seriously..you don’t want to miss it. (Tip: Be there before 11am or the precious bakes run out!)

Day 2: Afternoon – Evening

After the casual stroll, you can also stop by Restaurant Muthu  for best Indian food or Salahuddin Bakery for delicious curry puffs.

Grab a bite or early dinner before you head to Bazaar Karat Night Market next! Not far from Coronation Avenue, street vendors come out after sundown to sell clothes, accessories, toys, and so much more. The bazaar usually opens from around 7PM until late. Come experience the local bustle of Johor Bahru.
