Already in Thailand? Why not take this opportunity to explore some of its wonderful sights and gems that were once crowded with visitors from all over the world. Clean, secluded beaches, hard-to-get reservations for famous restaurants and tempting travel deals – all beckon you in the Land of Smiles.
Bangkok
There are plenty of interesting spots in Thailand’s capital for you to visit (or revisit) without having to beat the crowds! Cultural enthusiasts can now roam around Rattanakosin Island, the city’s historic area, at a more relaxed pace. Getting your insta-worthy photos taken at some famous landmarks, such as the palace or temples, is likely to be much easier when it isn’t crowded with tourists.
Street food aficionados can now try the insanely popular Jay O Chula’s instant noodle tom yum soups as early as from 17:00 when previously you had to wait until 23:00.
If sampling the famous crab omelette at Jay Fai, Bangkok’s first street food stall to be awarded a Michelin star, has always been a long-awaited dream – you better hurry up, as the wait is much shorter now. Not to mention that there are ample dining deals from restaurants of all sorts for you to take advantage of!
Koh Samui
Island hopping in the south of Thailand has never been this tempting! With attractive travel deals on offer, the trip to Koh Samui is likely to cost less than what you’re used to. A one-way ticket to Koh Samui with Bangkok Airways will now cost you around 2,400-2,600 THB, while you might have had to pay up to 5,000-6,000 THB a few months ago!
Sun-worshippers’ dreams of leisurely soaking up the sun’s rays on the powdery white sand, and enjoying a mellow cocktail under a Samui sunset, are now getting more real than ever before!
Oh, if you’re into outdoor activities, there are plenty of them for you to enjoy, be it a jungle safari tour, ATV tour, ziplining or snorkelling – and at the end of the day, do not miss the famous fire-spinning shows. All of these experiences are something that adreniline junkies will love.
A couple of days in this tropical paradise is never enough, so plan to stay at least four nights. Can’t decide where to stay? How about at Amari Koh Samui? Located on the peaceful beach of North Chaweng and provides traditional-inspired rooms in a tropical setting. Book Here!
Phuket
Believe us, when it isn’t overcrowded, Phuket is at its most beautiful! A comfortable one-hour flight from Bangkok lands you on this picture-perfect island surrounded by scenic beaches and tropical vibes.
Spending a day at the beach has never been easier, as the island offers many idyllic locations to choose from – Kata, Karon and Patong in the south and Kamala and Surin in the north. We’ve also heard that Phi Phi Island, which is about a two-hour ferry ride from Phuket, is especially gorgeous at this time of year.
If you’re up for vibrant southern flavours, we recommend Raya, Chomchan and Tukab Khao, all well-known local restaurants. Must-try dishes include a crabmeat yellow curry with rice vermicelli, deep-fried salted pork belly and “Khua kling” (pork crackling chilli paste).
Just a 5-minute drive from the well-known Patong Beach, Amari Phuket offers the perfect balance of being close to the island’s bustling centre yet far enough to enjoy ultimate luxury, relaxation and seclusion. Book Here!
Krabi
Located on the shore of the Andaman sea and only a 75-minute flight from Bangkok, or a two-hour drive from Phuket, Krabi is a tropical paradise promising the peace and serenity you need to get away from it all.
If you prefer to stay somewhere close to the city centre, where shops, markets and restaurants are within easy reach, we recommend the Ao Nang area. But, if you’re looking for somewhere more romantic and secluded, we recommend Tubkaak beach.
Krabi is blessed with an abundance of natural wonders and stunning sceneries including pristine beaches, limestone crags, jungle landscapes and over 200 islands dotted around its coastal position.
A day trip to Hong Island is a must-do if you stay at Amari Vogue Krabi, as it’s only a 20-minute long-tail boat ride away. Or, take the path less travelled for a 4km scenic trail to the top of Ngon Nak Mountain, where you’ll be embraced by breathtaking, panoramic views of the Krabi coastline.
Pattaya
There is no better time to take your next vacation to Pattaya than now! With an absence of foreign visitors, this popular beach town has become less busy and more inviting for a day (or two) of fun in the sun.
Situated on North Pattaya beach, Amari Pattaya makes a perfect base for a fun-packed holiday for all types of travellers. The resort offers accommodation in two distinct buildings – Amari Tower and Amari Suites – complete with extensive free-form swimming pools with a treehouse-themed water slide and kids’ waterpark.
It is also just a short walk to Central Marina and Terminal 21 shopping malls. A car ride of 17km to Ocean Marina Yacht Club is all it takes to hop on a romantic summer cruise.
