Marking the re-opening of the newly renovated contemporary art floor of River City Bangkok, The Anchor of Arts & Antiques (RCB) collaborated with the National Palace Museum, Taiwan, to host the first-ever interactive Chinese art exhibition in Thailand! Come face-to-face with Ancient China and enjoy the unique experience where antiquity, art, and technology meet.
If you’re not a fan of just staring at paintings and prefer to have an interactive hands-on experience with valuable ancient art pieces, then this is the exhibition for you!
The exhibition is divided into 8 zones, housing 8 installations–with the highlight being the first one, Up The River During Qingming Painting Animation where you get to experience through augmented reality technology the bustling local life and struggles of living during the decline of the Qing Dynasty.
Through the use of modern multimedia technology, you will be transported back in time to ancient China, where you can witness the fall of the Qing Dynasty, explore Jinan Province, listen to the roaring waves as you sail the China seas, admire the beauty as ancient Chinese summer blossoms, and so much more!
Fan painting, paper painting and Chinese calligraphy workshops will be held over the four-month period of the exhibition. If you want to join in the fun, you can check the workshop schedules and book them in advance here: https://sites.google.com/rivercity.co.th/npmexhibition/
The exhibition runs from October 18, 2018 until February 12, 2019 and the tickets can be purchased at River City Bangkok. Come join in the fun!
