New Year, New You
Year after year, as the fireworks light up the sky and the clock strikes midnight, we set goals for our future selves – usually very big goals. Sometimes, by making these huge resolutions, we underestimate the difficulties that comes with keeping them (but, that’s okay – we’re only human!).
Here’s our suggestion: simplify. You can accomplish so much more when you make simpler, yet meaningful goals for yourself. Not only will you live a happier year, by 2017, you can proudly say you’ve made the most of 2016! Here are 7 easy New Year’s resolutions you’ll definitely be able to keep.
Take Care Of Your Body and Mind
It’s so easy to get caught up in work and completely forget about taking care of yourself! Keep your skin moisturized, perhaps using a product from a private label skin care company, and remember to put on sunblock before heading out. Even something as simple as basic skincare can make a real difference to your life as it will not only help you look healthier but protect yourself from aging prematurely. We also recommend visiting Breeze Spa every once in a while and letting our professional massage therapists take your sore muscles to paradise with the right treatment for you.
Yoga is also an excellent way to care for both your body and mind as it is a nice relaxing activity that keeps your body flexible and strong. If you get a yoga instructor, make sure they are fully qualified to train you. For example, this yoga course in india is the perfect way to become an instructor so ask whoever you are considering to use if they have done anything like that course. This way, you know you’re in good hands.
Get More Sleep
Many of us are guilty of sleeping late on weeknights, thinking we can make up for it by sleeping in on weekends. Unfortunately, that’s still bad for our bodies. Instead, plan ahead by making sure you get at least 7 hours of sleep each night. Don’t know how to achieve this? Then don’t worry, there are so many things that you can try to help aid your sleeping patterns. First thing’s first – have you ever thought that your mattress could be the problem? Sometimes a bad mattress can affect how well you sleep, so taking the time to look at something like this ecosa vs koala article could help you to find the perfect mattress for your needs. And when it comes to your sleep, it’s worth a try, right? But there are so many other things that you can do too. You might find the perfect cannabis strain for you online, but that’s not going to be the solution for everybody (especially since laws vary so much around the world). Take 30 minutes to unwind before hitting the hay by reading or meditating (it’s time to turn off all electronics: that means no TV, tablet, smart phones, or computers!).
Make Time For Exercise
Remember: when you feel good, you look good! Take a moment out of every day (at least 15 minutes), whether it’s a brisk stroll around the block, walking up and down stairs, or just basic stretches, to keep active. Even when you’re on vacation, keep in mind that many hotels also offer its guests complimentary access to its gyms – take advantage of them by breaking a sweat!
While a little spontaneity adds spice to life, being well prepared also has its benefits. Taking a moment to look into your future allows for time to make and revise decisions, instead of suddenly being put under pressure at the last minute. More important, planning ahead gives you a chance to really look through your options.

Travel At Least Twice A Year
We must stress the importance of travelling whenever opportunity presents itself. This may seem like a difficult feat for some, but you don’t have to go far. Visiting a city in your country, or even a neighboring nation, is a great way to expand your worldview without necessarily breaking the bank.
If you’re in Thailand, keep in mind that Amari has hotels in 7 different cities – Bangkok, Pattaya, Buriram, Hua Hin, Koh Samui, Krabi, and Phuket. And when you’ve gone to them all, we have 3 more destinations for you to consider: Doha, Bangladesh, and our newest addition, the Maldives! (Not to mention our upcoming project in Galle, Sri Lanka.)
Call up good friends or hit them up with a text inviting them out for dinner or a couple of drinks. Dedicate one day or evening a month to showing your loved ones how much you appreciate them by simply making time for them. Remember: a year passes by a lot quicker than we think.
There are many different ways to catch up, but nothing beats good times and a delicious dinner, maybe at Henry J. Bean’s Bar and Grill at Amari Don Muang Airport Bangkok, or the famous Mantra Restaurant and Bar in Pattaya. If you’re not very hungry, you could always make new memories over a drink and a great view – Samutr Bar at Amari Phuket has an amazing ocean view if anything!
Set Aside Some “Me” Time
There’s nothing more important than making time for yourself. Put away the electronics and all other potential distractions, and take a moment to reflect. Think positive by reviewing your past accomplishments, and motivate yourself for future projects and changes you want to put into action.
